How much / How to get a Quote?
Quote depends on volume, texture, material and pattern choice. For "Range" or Ballpark quotes simply take a few pictures of what you want enhanced with the Pattern Tek Process along with length (X) width measurements for an idea of size and e-mail them to sales@patterntek.com.

Is Pattern Tek durable?
We use only the highest grade materials and that is why a majority of our customers are from the automobile and boat industries whose standards of quality and durability are one of the most stringent in the world. The clear coat we use is an automotive finish, which is tough enough to withstand direct sun exposure and durable enough to last even in a marine environment. Check under " Gallery" for a variety of parts installed in a variety of hostile environments in or on a vehicle.

Can items be reprinted?
Yes, items that are printed can be reprinted without much difficulty.

What types of items can be printed?
A wide variety of flat or 3-D shapes and manufacturing materials such as plastics, metals, glass, etc. can be dipped.

How long is the process for an item that you do not have a core replacement for?
Pattern Tek Process itself can take anywhere from 10 seconds for a simple piece to over 15 minutes for the more complex objects. However, prep work such as sanding, chemical priming, drying and final coats varies depending on the size. For example, a typical dashboard or center console usually requires about 12 to 15 business days to complete. On rare occasions, after the work is done and we find a defect, we wil redo the process until it is right. *2 tones and special orders are subject to an extra 2 weeks to complete depending on how custom the job is.

How scratch resistant is the final product?
The clear acrylic recommended is the same as that used on auto exteriors, thus able to withstand virtually all types of normal daily routines or boating conditions. It is UV stable and will NOT peel, crack or fade.

What kind of patterns are available?
A wide variety of patterns including carbon fiber, light or dark wood trims, marble, granite, brushed aluminum, camouflage and many others are available. At times, some patterns are out of stock or on backorder, please call or email us for pattern availability.

When doing automobiles will my vehicle be disabled while this process is happening?
Not at all, if you buy a core we have in stock, you will not need be without your selected parts. If its a part we do not have in stock, the interior panels you've removed won't affect the performance or drive ability of your vehicle. Whenever you send panels in for processing the interior of your vehicle will look odd because cosmetic pieces will be missing, but speaking from first-hand experience the results are more than worth the wait! For instance, if you send in your door handles, you can lock/unlock and open/close the door using the two rods inside the door that are pushed/pulled when you use the handles - if you find this process difficult you can also roll your window down and open the door from the outside like normal, then roll up the window before closing the door. All of the switches in the doors have
to be separated from the panels before they are sent in, you can continue to roll up/down your windows and lock/unlock your doors.

Before I ship, what should I do?
We do not dissasemble any items shipped to us for dipping so all parts to be dipped must be taken apart / removed if they connect to other parts that are being dipped as well... Example: Ash Trays from the housings, Ash tray lids from the tray itself, cup holder doors, radio doors, window switch controls from the plates ...ect. If any parts are shipped to us and are connected to each other such as the above mentioned and must be disassembled we are not responsible for any damage / malfunctions.  This includes all electronics and dome-light housings.
